  • Paintbox Wrap pattern

Paintbox Wrap is created especially for mini-skeins, with bands of color that use just one mini-skein each. A simple lace stitch is worked in the color bands, and it can be easily adapted to whatever size mini-skein you have, whether your minis are 10g, 20g, or 25g each.

By pairing the color bands with a neutral shade of yarn, worked in garter stitch at the ends and between each color band, it helps to pull together all the various colors you choose into a single, cohesive whole.

    Sizes & dimensions

    Size 1 (2, 3)

    Wingspan (tip to tip):
    67 (72 1⁄2, 78) inches | 167.5 (181.25, 195 cm)

    Depth:
    18 inches (45 cm)

    Yarn requirements

All sizes use 1 skein (100 to 115g) of a neutral color, plus:

    Size 1: + six 25g mini-skeins
    Size 2: + seven 25g mini-skeins
    Size 3: + eight 25g mini-skeins

Note: You can easily adjust the size of each color band to suit whatever yardage of mini-skein you have. If you have more than 25g, each band will be wider. If you have less than 25g, each band will be narrower. This will impact the finished size of your wrap.
