Heathered like a rustic cabin, yet as soft and light as hand-churned butter.
My new Yak Blend base is a perfect yarn for the Walden shawl: the natural brown of the yak fiber creates a beautiful heathered halo which looks rustic while feeling like luxury as it runs through your fingers.
The Walden palette of colors are designed to work together or independently, so you can choose a pair for the Walden shawl or for another project you have in mind. These are all available only on Yak Blend, which is a fingering weight yarn; however, two strands held double will be approximately a worsted weight yarn, in case you have your heart set on a sweater.
I'll begin dyeing preorders during the holiday season, but you should expect your yarn to arrive in mid- to late- January, as I manage my dye schedule, wait for the yarn base to arrive, and also accommodate time off for the holidays.

Yak Blend creates a silky, drapey fabric with lots of movement and a bit of weight. It's best for shawls and garments that you want to flow and be ultra soft.
