The Secret Garden fabric was created for a shawl kit inspired by Mary Hodgson Burnett's classic novel, The Secret Garden. The centerpiece of the design is an illustration by Michal Gal-Marko, an Israeli-based artist, of a girl in a garden, kneeling to say hello to a young fox. I added watercolor motifs and words to Michal's drawings to create this delicate fabric repeat.
Inspired by: The Secret Garden
Fabric base: Kona Cotton
Available by the fat quarter, half yard or full yard
This fabric is digitally printed for me, in small batches, on Kona cotton fabric. If you're familiar with digitally printed fabric, you'll know that the Kona cotton, while more expensive, has a much (much) nicer feeling to it than basic cotton. It's softer, more supple, and washes and wears with beautiful colorfastness.
As a reminder, this fabric is being sold to you for personal use only. Please do not sell items made from it.
