Remember Mary, Bert, and all of their adventures as you knit
Our Mary Poppins-inspired stitch markers have all the icons from the book and movie to remind you of Mary's advice and adventures -- from a spoonful of sugar to adorable penguin waiters who agree that Mary is the "tip of the top."
Choose your favorite set or get the whole collection – your first set is $12, and each additional set is $10 each. When you order the full collection, it comes in a special sliding macaron-style box and you'll get one of your sets for free.
My stitch markers are made in a universal size of 10mm, which glides smoothly and easily over smaller knitting needles such as a US size 3 (3.25mm) all the way up to a US size 9 (5.5mm). You'll receive a set just like the one pictured, with one master charmed ring and seven beaded rings.
The Supercalifragilistic collection is a preorder collection. We expect that your order will ship within 2 to 4 weeks, and sooner if we can. If your order contains ready-to-ship items from our regular inventory and preordered items, it will ship in one package when the preordered portion is ready.
Please feel free to be in touch with us at any time if you have questions about your order or when it will be ready to ship. We're delighted to help!
I am delighted to introduce you to the artists involved with the Supercalifragilistic kit and collection:
Karalee Harding is a talented designer of knitwear accessories, known for her creative use of texture and simple lace, with clear and modular patterns. She's also my colleague at Little Skein, and when she first mentioned the idea for an umbrella-inspired Mary Poppins shawl, I was instantly enchanted with the concept. I'm so lucky to have her as part of the Little Skein team, and encourage you to check out her beautiful design portfolio.
Heather Kinne of Highland Handmades is a genius with color and fiber. She created a perfectly inspired mix-and-match set of four colorways for the kit, which bring to life Mary's seemingly incongruous practicality and imagination. She's used one of her more select bases, Serviceberry Sock, which is lusciously soft and has generous yardage. Her yarns are hand-dyed in the fresh Maine countryside.
Janelle Coury is a designer and artist who created the original illustrations for the project bag fabric, greeting card, and kit collateral material. Janelle is a wonderfully talented illustrator, with a gift for surface design and her interpretation of Mary's world is oh-so-inspiring!
and me, Anne of Little Skein in the Big Wool. I'm the curator of the Supercalifragilistic kit: I bring everything together and share ideas with each of the artists so the kit becomes a cohesive whole. I create the stitch markers, sew the project bags (with our team) and hand-pack each order.
We hope you love our creations!
