Charlotte and friends brought to life on yarn.
I am in love with the color palette Dani at Sunshine Yarns created for the Salutations kit. From the deep blue-black of Charlotte to the stunningly bright yellow-green (or green-yellow!) of Radiant, the colors simply glow with the happiness and friendship of Charlotte, Wilbur, Fern and their friends in Zuckerman's barn.
Nearly all of the colorways coordinate with one another, so just choose your favorite two colors and knit Melanie Berg's The Love of Spiders shawl, designed in this yarn and for this kit, or choose any other project -- this fingering weight yarn is soft, squishy, and super-saturated.
I'm also delighted to offer single skeins of Charlotte's Palette. If you've purchased a kit, you'll get my recipe for an adult and child sized hat that uses the stitch pattern from The Love of Spiders. To knit the hat, you'll need about 35 grams each of two colors. (If you want to split skeins, check out the Little Skein Ravelry group to find someone to share with!)
Charlotte's Palette is exclusive to Little Skein until early 2016.

The Salutations collection is a mix of preorder and ready-to-ship items. If your order contains only ready-to-ship items, it will be on its way in 2 to 3 business days. Most preorders ship in 3 to 4 weeks, and sooner if we can! If your order contains ready-to-ship and preordered items, it will ship in one package when the preordered portion is ready.
Please feel free to be in touch with us at any time if you have questions about your order or when it will be ready to ship. We're delighted to help!
I am delighted to introduce you to the artists involved with the Salutations kit and collection:
Knitwear designer Melanie Berg created The Love of Spiders pattern for the Salutations kit. Melanie is one of the most versatile knitwear designers today. She creates addictive, colorful (and easy to knit!) accessories as well as beautifully-fitting sweaters and garments.
Sunshine Yarns created a six-color mix and match Charlotte palette on luxury fingering weight yarn. Dani at Sunshine Yarns is one of my favorite dyers, with an ability to bring the natural world to life on beautiful, squishy, must-touch-it-now yarn!
Artist and hand-letterer Jayme Hennel of the Hennel Paper Company and I have worked together before and I love Jayme's whimsical, clean and modern style. She brought Charlotte, Wilbur and everyone from the Barn to life in a way that perfectly matches how I see them in my mind. (She also drew the only spider I am thrilled to see, over and over!)
Barruntando ceramics studio in Aviles, Spain created the Flock yarn bowl for this collection in their distinctive and delicate style. See their other handmade ceramic creations at their online shop.
Tuft Woolens created a farm-fresh soap, inspired by Wilbur's buttermilk bath, just for this kit. I've been a fan of Martha's soaps and wool washes for a while and her creation simply ties the whole kit together!
and me, Anne of Little Skein in the Big Wool. I'm the official curator of the Salutations kit -- I brought everything together and shared ideas with each of the artists so the kit would be a cohesive whole, created the stitch markers, project bags, greeting cards, and notepads.
We hope you love our creations!
