Preorders close on January 15, 2016. Hundred Acre Wood yarn is dyed-to-order and will ship in approximately 8 weeks.
A beautifully inspired palette that will remind you of the Hundred Acre Wood at dusk.
In collaboration with Wooly Wonka Fibers, I am delighted to bring you a set of Hundred Acre Wood colorways, hand-dyed for you on the most lusciously soft MCN base yarn. Choose from five individual colorways, or choose a gradient set that shifts from dusky raisin to forest green.
If you are choosing yarn for Helen Stewart's Hundred Acre Wood shawl (and want to purchase yarn independently and not as part of a kit), you will need 1 skein for the small size or 2 skeins of contrasting colors for the large striped version. If you wish to knit the gradient version, order the Hundred Acre Wood gradient set, which includes 250g of yarn.
Notes about hand-dyed yarn: Because yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, you should expect some variation between individual skeins and also a small variation between the pictures and what you receive. I've done my best to photograph a variety of skeins, so that you can see where individual colorways (and dye formulas) might show differences.

The Hundred Acre Wood collection is a preorder collection. We expect that your order will ship in approximately 4-6 weeks, and sooner if we can. If your order contains ready-to-ship items from our regular inventory and preordered items, it will ship in one package when the preordered portion is ready.
Please feel free to be in touch with us at any time if you have questions about your order or when it will be ready to ship. We're delighted to help!
I am delighted to introduce you to the wonderful makers who collaborated with me to create the Hundred Acre Wood kit.
Designer Helen Stewart of the Curious Handmade podcast created the centerpiece of the collection, the Hundred Acre Wood shawl. She’s known for her feminine and beautifully-wearable accessory designs that are soothing and relaxing to knit.
Hand-dyer Anne Podlesak of Wooly Wonka Fibers created and hand-dyed the scrumptious yarn palette in her studio in New Mexico. The gradient color set is a work of art, with underwashes of common colors and gently shifting hues from raisin-brown purple to forest green.
Artist Chamisa Kellogg created the original illustrations that became the fabric in the kit’s project bag, and which pepper the entire kit. Chamisa’s style evokes the very best of childhood: the dreamy sense that something wonderful is always right around the corner.
Also in the collection are treasures from some of my favorite makers:
The Nome Knitter | Honeycomb progress keeper
Tuft Woolens | Honeybee hand lotion & lip balm
Handmades by Olivia| hand-embroidered zipper pouch
Leslie Wind, jewelry artist | Kindred Spirits shawl pin
Perfect Paperie | Love of Honey bookmarks
Preserved maple leaves
and me, Anne of Little Skein in the Big Wool. I'm the curator of the Hundred Acre Wood kit: I bring everything together and share ideas with each of the artists so the kit becomes a cohesive whole. I create the stitch markers, sew the project bags (with our team) and hand-pack each order.
