Age of Winter hat & mitts kit

Relive the magic of Narnia with this lusciously cabled hat and mitt set designed by Katy Carroll especially for Little Skein.

In the back of a wardrobe, pushing through the warm furs stored there, a young Lucy Pevensie discovers more than she expects. Amid a snowy landscape where it is always winter but never Christmas, Lucy finds friendship, magic, courage, and adventure.

The Age of Winter hat and mitts recall the candle flame of the old- fashioned lamppost where Lucy first encounters Mr. Tumnus in the land of Narnia. Despite the bitter chill, the lamppost burns without fuel through day and night, providing illumination in the endless winter. The lantern flame motif on the hat and mitts is composed of intertwining cables that look far more complex than they are to knit, making this a beautiful gift for a loved one or for yourself.

Your luxe kit includes:

  • PDF pattern: You'll get an immediate download of the hat and mitt duo (two patterns), and when your kit ships, there will be a code in your box to add the patterns to your Ravelry library.

  • 2 skeins of Winter Blend in the colorway of your choice. Winter Blend skeins each have 181 yards of squishy aran-weight MCN yarn. You will need one skein to knit the hat and one skein to knit the mitts.

  • White rabbit fur pom-pom to add a touch of vintage whimsy to your hat.

  • Coordinating stitch markers

  • Coordinating progress marker

  • "Courage, Dear Heart" enamel pin, featuring hand-drawn illustration from The Clever Clove

Yarn and pattern kits include just that: your PDF pattern plus a Ravelry code and two skeins of Winter Blend in the colorway of your choice.
