I am delighted to share with you "My Favorite Things," a collection of 7 knitted accessories that are a celebration of the much-loved movie, "The Sound of Music."
The collection includes patterns for two shawls, two cowls, two pair of fingerless mitts, and a beautiful colorwork hat, designed for Little Skein by some of my favorite emerging designers.
- Raindrops on Roses by Jessica Anderson
- Confidence by Julie Dubreux
- Alpen by Clare Lakewood
- Crisp Apple Strudel by Katy Carroll
- Do-Re-Mi by Karalee Harding
- Edelweiss by Abbey Morris
- Lovely by Julie Dubreux
The patterns are written and charted and have been professionally tech-edited.
In addition to knitwear patterns, the e-book features:
"Maria's Voice," an original essay from best-selling author Rachael Herron about the importance of being yourself
A recipe for apple strudel cookies, an easy way to enjoy the flavor of apple strudel
Original photography of the collection, shot along the beautiful California coastline and forests
Photographs of Salzburg and Austria's lake district, together with tidbits about the movie and the real von Trapp family
Altogether, the e-book is 88 pages of inspiration.
I was very pleased with this publication. The photography was stunning and I thoroughly enjoyed the articles. The patterns are well written and I am looking forward to knitting most of them. I found it a real treat that I want to knit most of them rather than the one or two I usually find in other publications.
