Time Traveller is inspired by the novel Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, and it celebrates the space between joy and grief, where you find out who you are and where you belong.
The book is a marvelous story of being swept back in time 200 years to find another life and adventure, and the shawl likewise has elements of the unexpected. It is an asymmetrical triangle and knit on the bias. Its delicately curved shape and feminine picot edge make it both versatile to wear and utterly romantic.
You can make Time Traveller with a subtle solid color, like the “Time Traveller” grey created by the talented Emily Foden of Viola yarn exclusively for our shop, or go bold with two colors. The shawl was created to make the most of your favorite yarn, whether it's solid, hand-dyed, variegated, or tonal.
Skills needed: Perfect for the adventurous beginner and intermediate knitter.

This pattern has been tech-edited and test knit.
Although I have yet to knit this (there are babies due or newly adopted to occupy my knitting time!), I completely love this pattern and the fact that I received a download-into-ravelry code [there are some designers who *don't* offer that] as well as received a beautiful card in full color with the image. These touches add to the already great designs, as when I am searching for my next project (or cleverly link it in my Queue) I am in Ravelry. But I tend to print off my patterns with black ink only. Having the colorful, professional quality card with photo keeps me inspired - and gives me a great visual to show others when they ask, "What are you knitting?" As Anne is great about branding her items, these interested people can easily snap a photo of the front to get her website info and have record of the project name. I don't have to stop knitting to write it down or text them. Yay!
Wonderful customer service! The yarn is perfect and I cannot wait to start my Shawl! Anne was a pleasure to work with....lots of questions from me.My concerns were all answered and thank you so much, Anne, for the bag situation ( odd request). I love it! Cannot wait to get my Rhinebeck bucket!
I loved this pattern and am trying to figure out the perfect yarn for this pattern. I love the versatility of it. Anne's customer service has been absolutely the best.
Planning to knit this shawl pattern as a Christmas gift! Looks interesting!
Can’t wait to start this, need to finish spinning the yarn for it
