Sock School is Little Skein's 4th annual, relaxed, no pressure  sock knitalong. I host it on Instagram and Ravelry, and you are cordially invited to join me!

Socks are the most perfect summer knitting: they’re light, portable, and wonderfully addictive. You can challenge yourself to knit your first pair of socks, try a new heel construction, or finally finish up some sock WIPs. (That’s what I’ll be doing!)

Sock School is for everyone.

This year, our teacher for Sock School is Denise from the Earthtones Girl podcast. Denise is an avid sock knitter, amazing coach, and beautiful person. She has a wealth of sock knitting resources on her YouTube channel and will be knitting along with us all summer, and she’s available to answer questions or help you out of a stumbling block.

We will be joined by a newish sock knitter who I know will inspire us: GG from the GGMadeIt podcast. GG is a gorgeous knitter and her enthusiasm to try colorwork this past winter inspired me to invite her to join us — and she said yes! GG will be diving into a pair of socks with us and encouraging other hopeful sock knitters to do the same.

August 9 to October 19, 2019

School supplies

I’ve planned a wonderful set of “school supplies” if you want to buy something new and special for your Sock School adventure. New yarns and commemorative project bags are now in the shop.

And: the lovely thing about Sock School is that you don't need to buy anything to participate. Just grab a skein of sock yarn and tag us into your Instagram plans with #sockschool.
