Our new subscription box, Little Stitches, quietly launched earlier this year, and I was surprised and humbled by the warm reception it received. Thank you so much! Together with my box partners, Tuft Woolens and The Nome Knitter, we had prepared 50 subscriber spots, which sold out within a few hours. (Surprised us all!)
For the next round of subscriptions, we're able to more than triple this amount, and new spots will open on April 15th (at 10:00a Pacific Time).
I've been happily developing the box for a while, and last week, the March boxes arrived with subscribers. I was excitedly checking tracking all week to make sure each box arrived safely. They all have, so now I can share details about what was in the very first box!
The March box was inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I focused on the soft yellows and pinks of Regency England, colors so often worn by Jane and her characters. I also thought about some of the traditions of Jane's world, from high tea in beautiful china cups, to walks in the Pemberley gardens, to the ball at Netherfield.
Here's what the box looked like, ready to be opened:
All the goodies (yarn is a 25g mini-skein):
The pattern, Lemon Tea coaster, for which subscribers received a printed pattern card as well as a Ravelry download code:
The yarn: We developed three colorways for the box. Clockwise from the top: Tea at Pemberley, Shall We Dance, and Bewitched. This is a picture of full skeins, and subscribers received a random colorway (or two) in their box.
As promised, we have full skeins of these colorways available, and subscribers get first dibs on them (from March 27 to 31). We'll list the remaining skeins in the shop for everyone at the next regular shop update. And, if they're popular, we're happy to dye more.
Thank you again for the warm reception, and I'm already deep in planning the next happy box!
