  • Welcome!
I'm Anne. I hand-dye yarn, make kits for knitters, and write words for the common good. I put fresh yarn in my shop most Sundays, in tandem with my Sunday newsletter.

  • Meet my beagle, Molly. She likes to steal yarn.

  • Welcome—and thank you for ordering a Bookmarked kit!
Here is all the information you need to knit your tiny books and access your self-paced, guided knitalong!

    1. Open your kit.

Please check that you have everything you're supposed to. (Mistakes can happen, and if I've overlooked something, please let me know so I can make it right!)

    Sliding box kit

    • Yarn: You should have 2 hanks of yarn (50g of Lightly Foxed and 25g of your book cover color), bundled together
    • Flat-pack sliding box (2 pieces)
    • Cardboard covers (2) and spine
    • 16 tiny rare earth magnets
    • Silk embroidery thread, button, satin ribbon, and two pieces of wool felt
    • Keepsake postcard (with or without Ravelry code, depending on what you ordered)

    Altoid tin-style kit

    • Yarn: You should have one 25g mini-skein of yarn
    • Altoid-style tin
    • Cardboard covers (2) and spine
    • 16 tiny rare earth magnets

    • Keepsake postcard (with or without Ravelry code, depending on what you ordered

    2. Make sure you have the Bookmarked pattern.

You indicated on your kit order whether your order should include the Bookmarked pattern. If you bought it from me, you were emailed a download link when your order shipped, and a Ravelry code is on the back of your postcard.

    3. Download your PDF hand-outs.

    4. Stream your guided knit-along video.

This was recorded during my live session on Saturday, November 4, 2023, and I hope it's useful for you to hear my explanation of the tips and tricks that helped me make this project!

Here are the slides from the session: Slides from Bookmarked Guided Knitalong (PDF | 11 MB)

If you are making the sliding box-style book

If you are making the sliding matchbox-style book, here is a supportive, guided video that shows you how to assemble and glue the flat pack box.

    Do you want extra materials?

If you would like more supplies, just not in kit form, I am happy to share my sources with you:

Please do not share these links.

These videos, sources for materials, and other templates are part of your kit purchase and part of what I sell (i.e., it's my job, so please don't give my work away for free!).
